Purdue hands Michigan first home loss (AP)

Purdue probably needed a signature victory to cement its place in the NCAA tournament. The Boilermakers got one Saturday thanks to Terone Johnson. The sophomore scored a career-high 22 points and Robbie Hummel added 17 as Purdue beat No. 11 Michigan 75-61, handing the Wolverines their first home loss of the season.

Harvard rallies to avenge lone Ivy loss (AP)

Kyle Casey scored 20 points as Harvard rallied from a 10-point deficit and then outlasted Princeton 67-64 Friday night, avenging its only Ivy League loss of the season and setting a program record for wins in a season. The Crimson (24-3, 10-1), who fell to the Tigers 70-62 on Feb. 11, led by six in the first half before Princeton surged to a 33-23 lead at the 3:59 mark.

Fans stormed the court after the Irish’s rousing victory. It was the eighth time Notre Dame has beaten a No. 1 team — that ties for fourth-most all-time, with North Carolina having the most with 12.

Hoosiers collapse in third straight loss (AP)

Until Wednesday night, Nebraska’s students didn’t have much to celebrate when it came to their basketball team. So they let it all hang out after the Cornhuskers upset No. 11 Indiana 70-69, the Hoosiers’ third straight loss and Nebraska’s biggest victory in its first season in the Big Ten.

Minnesota hands Hoosiers first home loss (AP)

Coming into Assembly Hall, where the Hoosiers had won their first 11 games, including over then-No. 1 Kentucky and then-No. 2 Ohio State, the Golden Gophers seemed to have almost no chance.
