Michigan State’s Nix suspended following arrest (Yahoo! Sports)

Michigan State center Derrick Nix has been suspended indefinitely from the basketball team after his arrest early Tuesday on suspicion of operating a vehicle with any presence of drugs and possession of marijuana. Nix was arrested about 12:20 a.m. Tuesday, according to a district court in East Lansing.

Smotrycz, 2 others leaving Michigan program (Yahoo! Sports)

Michigan forward Evan Smotrycz is one of three players leaving the Wolverines to transfer, and star point guard Trey Burke is at least considering a jump to the NBA. Smotrycz, fellow sophomore Colton Christian and freshman Carlton Brundidge are all transferring. Smotrycz started 42 games over the last two seasons.
