Amid reports that Burke is expected to turn pro, his father Benji said in a text message to The Associated Press on Wednesday that there has been “no decision” yet. Michigan State center Derrick Nix has been suspended indefinitely from the basketball team after his arrest early Tuesday on suspicion of operating a vehicle with any presence of drugs and possession of marijuana. Nix was arrested about 12:20 a.m. Tuesday, according to a district court in East Lansing.

Michigan forward Evan Smotrycz is one of three players leaving the Wolverines to transfer, and star point guard Trey Burke is at least considering a jump to the NBA. Smotrycz, fellow sophomore Colton Christian and freshman Carlton Brundidge are all transferring. Smotrycz started 42 games over the last two seasons.
