Ryan Boatright had 19 points and Jeremy Lamb scored 17 for Connecticut, which played without coach Jim Calhoun to beat Seton Hall 69-46 on Saturday. Lamb added eight rebounds and Boatright had five assists and four steals for the Huskies (15-7, 5-5 Big East), who ended a four-game losing streak. Andre Drummond scored just seven points but had seven blocks.

Notre Dame continued its impressive run through the Big East, beating another ranked opponent and sending No. 24 Connecticut to its third straight loss. Eric Atkins scored 13 points and Jerian Grant hit three key free throws late as the Irish (14-8, 6-3) held on for their third straight win, 50-48 over the Huskies.

Indiana rallies past Penn St., ends skid (AP)

Cody Zeller scored 18 points and No. 11 Indiana rallied for a 73-54 victory over Penn State on Sunday, hours after the Nittany Lions learned of the death of former football coach Joe Paterno. The team was told of Paterno’s death on the short bus ride from the hotel to Assembly Hall. Team officials scrambled to get black strips attached to the players’ blue road jerseys.

Michael Dixon committed a foul and a turnover in his first minutes for Missouri on Monday. Not the way a reserve wants to get things going. Tigers coach Frank Haith pulled the junior guard aside and told him he was playing out of control. “Just let the game come to him,” Haith said when asked what he told Dixon.

Stu Douglass and Zack Novak were both on the court, scrambling for a loose ball near midcourt. When Novak came up with it, he flipped a short pass over his head to teammate Trey Burke, who went the rest of the way for an easy layup. “You’re not going to beat Wisconsin unless you play that way,” Michigan coach John Beilein said.

Jordan Hulls hit seven of No. 12 Indiana’s season-high 16 3-point field goals to help the Hoosiers snap a 16-game Big Ten road losing streak and hold on for an 88-82 victory over Penn State on Sunday. Hulls, a 6-foot guard, scooted around the perimeter all game for open looks and finished with 28 points for Indiana (15-1, 3-1).
